I am grateful to conduct business and live in one of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations. It is a place of unmatched natural beauty with a rich heritage and easy access to the vast unspoilt wilderness of the Canadian Rockies. I recognize and respect the original inhabitants and stewards of this land, the Indigenous Peoples of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Stoney Nakoda (Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney), Blackfoot Confederacy (Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika), and Tsuut'ina Nations. This area is also the homeland of the historic Northwest Métis and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 4. I am committed to learning from their knowledge of the land and honouring their culture and traditions through my work and actions.
